The Reserves Desk Assistant is responsible for retrieving and processing reserved Library materials, locating missing materials and answering patron inquires and giving information to the Registration Desk in order to update patrons' records. The Reserves Desk Assistant accomplishes this by looking in the Library's collections and addressing patrons over the telephone, in-person, or by email.
The job entails lifting, bending, standing and carrying. Proficiency with technology is required. One year experience working in a library, retail or hospitality setting is strongly preferred. On-the-job training will be provided. Candidate must be able to read/organize material according to library standards. Preference will be given to those available to fill in for other shifts.
12 hours per week:
Tuesdays: 6 to 10 p.m.
Wednesdays: 6 to 10 p.m.
1st and 3rd Fridays: 5:30 to 10 p.m.
4th Saturdays: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Fill-in hours are available.
