On Oct. 21, we’re offering a brand-new, all ages event: Culture Fest. Complete with dance, crafts, games, food trucks and more, it’s a celebration of the wide variety of cultures represented right here, in Schaumburg Township.

A detailed schedule of the day’s events is below.

But why stop there? We’re making the whole month of October a salute to different cultures. Watch short films from around the world (all ages, Oct. 7); discuss the award-winning novel Americanah (adults, Oct. 11 or 18); learn Bollywood dance (teens, Oct. 4); make a luchadore mask (5-8 years, Oct. 9) and more!

See our complete list of cultural programs happening in October.

And now we want to hear your story! Tell us about your culture, where your family is from and what traditions you have. Our unique We Are Multicultural story map is collecting your stories, showing all the cultures and countries that are represented here in Schaumburg Township. Take a moment to read others’ stories and then share one of your own.
