Throughout kidsZone, toys, books, computers and puppets combine with colorful furniture, pictures and three-dimensional figures to create an atmosphere that's vividly stimulating.
And though most children love it, some find it a bit too stimulating. If your child is struggling with sensory overload, please feel free to head to the Mother's Room - a quiet and peaceful place.
In the Mother's Room, located next to the Program Room, you and your child can relax with a rocking chair, calming colors and walls void of artwork, except for one small butterfly painting by children's illustrator Gail Gibbons. There is even a floor-based light fixture that glows in soothing pastel colors, if you choose to use it.
The Mother's Room is locked and may be accessed, if not in use, by asking for entry at the kidsZone Help Desk.
