We're happy to welcome Alisa Gandhi back as a Student Advisory Trustee for 2019-20, and say hello to Araha Uday as she joins us!
Alisa attends Conant High School, where she's active on the Prinicpal's Advisory Board, serves a PRIDE mentor for incoming freshman, and is on the swimming and water polo teams. She also works as a tutor outside school.
Araha is a student at Schaumburg High School, where her activities include involvement in the golf, speech, and math teams, as well as Business Professionals of America. Outside school, she enjoys playing piano, sketching and reading classics.
"I've lived in Schaumburg and loved the library for as long as I can remember," Araha said. "It has become so integrated with my family - as well as many other families."
While the student advisory trustees hold non-voting positions, they are allowed to participate in discussions. Their attendance and feedback from Library programs is invaluable.
Welcome back Alisa and we're happy to have you, Araha!
