We're interviewing veterans about their experiences at war for the Veterans History Project. This initiative of the Library of Congress' American Folklife Center collects, preserves, and makes accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war.

Our video interviews with veterans include:
- U.S. Army Air Corps veteran Emil Pribula, who served as a gunner on a B-17 bomber and flew 15 missions over Germany during World War II
- U.S. Navy veteran Richard Marquardt, who served as an aviation hydraulics mechanic in Antarctica during the early stages of scientific exploration at the South Pole
- U.S. Marine Corps veteran James Sobeski, who was a member of the machine gun squad stationed in the trenches at the 38th Parallel in Korea and involved in the Berlin Outpost battles just before the Korean War truce took effect in July 1953
