Can't make it to the Library? The Library will come to you!

We offer a home delivery service to any Schaumburg Library cardholder with vision or hearing impairments or mobility concerns. If you have a temporary condition preventing you from making it to one of our three locations, we're happy to make our way over to your place.

We can deliver almost anything that's available in the Library, including books, movies, music or games. We're able to visit you up to once every two weeks.

For qualified residents, we also can send items directly to your home through our mail delivery service. We'll include a USPS label and sturdy envelope for returns. Just fill out a short form to tell us what you'd like next. We'll send it as soon as possible!

Contact Outreach Services at @email or (847) 923-3392 to see if you qualify for home or mail delivery.

Talking Book and Braille Service

The Illinois State Library TBBS provides a free digital audio player and a variety of spoken materials to anyone unable to read standard print material due to a visual or physical disability. Braille materials and Descriptive Video Service films with audio narration are also available.

All materials are sent postage-free through the U.S. Postal Service. Contact Renee Anderson at @email or (847) 923-3388 to determine your eligibility and get help signing up.
