The Schaumburg Township District Library has two (2) part-time Computer Desk Assistant positions open. We are looking for a personable individual to provide library services to our customers: assisting users with library technology, setting up technology in library meeting spaces, and registering for library programs and events.
The Schaumburg Township District Library is looking for Branch Assistants to join our team. We are looking for energetic, competent and detail-oriented Branch Assistants to support our Hanover Park and Hoffman Estates locations.
The Branch Assistant is responsible for assisting and fulfilling the patrons’ needs in the areas of registration and circulation, placing holds, and addressing overdue matters. The Branch Assistant may also need to register patrons for library programs and activities and is able to operate and assist patrons with equipment and machines. The Branch Assistant is also responsible for representing the Library standards, as this position mostly interacts with the patrons.
The Schaumburg Township District Library is looking for four (4) Youth Reference Assistants to join our team.
The Youth Reference Assistant is responsible for assessing and fulfilling the patrons’ need for information or materials. The vital role of the Youth Reference Assistant is that of guidance, direction, and instruction. The Youth Reference Assistant is also responsible for: developing programs targeted for young people and their caregivers, assisting with school and community outreach and support collection maintenance.
The Schaumburg Township District Library is seeking a detail oriented Director of Facilities Management who is flexible, has strong interpersonal skills, and is passionate about the field. We are looking for the ability to create partnerships and build trusting relationships between the Executive Director, Leadership team, and employees.
The Director of Facilities Management is responsible for managing and supervising the maintenance, facilities, and safety (security) operations, which includes all building systems, safety and security, grounds, and structural needs of all Library properties.
Schaumburg Township District Library has a full time Public Safety Security Supervisor position open. We are looking for experienced, motivated, team oriented, flexible Public Safety Supervisor.
Under the direction of the Director of Facilities Management, this position oversees daily safety operations and creates a safe environment for library users of all ages and library staff. Areas of responsibility include implementing safety-related policies and procedures, training staff, creating daily and monthly schedules, supervising safety staff, responding to requests for safety assistance and emergencies, investigating and following up with incidents, securing the library facility and exterior property, and assisting with development of emergency response procedures and disaster response planning. Coordinates trainings and communications to branch public safety officers as well.
