Public Safety Officer

Schaumburg Township District Library has a part-time Public Safety Officer position open to be primarily located at the Schaumburg main facility. The Public Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring security authority while keeping the Library a friendly place to visit for everybody. Additionally, the Public Safety Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patrons and employees, and to safeguard the building and property.

Genealogy Librarian

The Schaumburg Township District Library has an onsite part-time Genealogy Librarian opportunity. We are looking for a personable individual to lead our genealogy programs, services and collections. This individual will take over our well-established genealogical research services, building upon that foundation of excellence and innovation, to help drive programs and services to build community partnerships, implement innovative programs that appeal to a diverse audience and develop a genealogy collection that is inclusive and reflective of our diverse community.

Shelver – Hanover Park Branch

Our Hanover Park Branch is looking for a Shelver to join our team. We are looking for an energetic, competent and detail oriented Shelver. The Shelver is responsible for unloading carts, shelving materials, and keeping the collections in order, throughout the Library.  In addition, the Shelver must have working knowledge of the SIRSI computer system. This position entails a great deal of physical exertion, see Physical Demands, below.

Youth Services Information Assistant

The Schaumburg Township District Library is looking for a Youth Services Information Assistant to join our team. The Youth Services Information Assistant is responsible for assisting and fulfilling the patrons’ need for materials, information, or services at the Youth Services Desk. They keep up-to-date on and register patrons for library programs and activities and provide administrative assistance to the Youth Services Department staff as directed by the Youth Department Director and Youth Department Coordinator.

Information Desk Assistant

The Schaumburg Township District Library has an onsite part-time Information Desk Assistant position open. We are looking for a personable individual to provide library services to our customers: finding materials, assisting users with library technology, reserving library meeting spaces, and registering for library programs and events. This position involves extensive interaction with the public to provide customers access to the full range of library services via in-person, telephone, online, and other modes of delivery.

Shelver (Position 3)

Schaumburg Township District Library is looking for a Shelver to join our team. We are looking for an energetic, competent and detail oriented Shelver. Technical Services Associate

The Schaumburg Township District Library is looking for a Technical Services Associate to join our team. This is a part-time hourly position that will be required to work various hours as needed. Our opportunity is for 30 hours per week to be scheduled during library hours; if required to work some nights and weekends as needed.
