Fiction Librarian

The Fiction Librarian is responsible for providing reference assistance to patrons in the Library's Fiction area; ensuring that the Fiction Desk runs efficiently and represents the Library standards; and assisting with adult programs related to readers’ advisory.  

Candidates must have at least 1-2 years Readers Advisory experience.  Position includes working the Fiction Desk, and assisting with collection development, displays and programming. 

Shelver - Day (2 positions)

The Shelver is responsible for unloading carts, shelving materials, and keeping the collections in order throughout the Library. In addition, the Shelver must have working knowledge of the SIRSI computer system and be able to provide back-up coverage at the Circulation Desk. 

Security Monitor

The Security Monitor is responsible for ensuring security authority while keeping the Library a friendly place to visit for everybody.  The Security Monitor is also responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patrons and employees, and to safeguard the building and property.

Reserves Assistant

The Reserves Desk Assistant is responsible for retrieving and processing reserved Library materials, locating missing materials and answering patron inquires and giving information to the Registration Desk in order to update patrons' records.  The Reserves Desk Assistant accomplishes this by looking in the Library's collections and addressing patrons over the telephone, in-person, or by email.

Library Cleaner

The Library Cleaner is responsible for performing routine cleaning of public areas, work rooms and offices in the central Library location. The Library Cleaner is also responsible for basic maintenance of tile, carpeted floors, wall paper or paneling, etc. in the buildings.
