You'll need your Library card number and PIN to access most of these services and create an account. Your PIN is four digits — the first two digits of your birth month and last two digits of your birth year. If you were born in January 1950, for example, your PIN would be 0150. You can also reset your PIN.

Palace Project
Introducing Palace Project, our newest eMedia platform. This app offers access to over 80,000 titles through the eRead Illinois collection, previously available through the Boundless app. Users can check out, read, and listen to e-content from multiple vendors, including Hoopla, ComicsPlus, and more, for 14 days.
The Palace Project app is not currently compatible with Kindle Paperwhite/Kindle Fire devices and primarily works with iOS and Android devices.

We have six Kindles preloaded with a wide selection of fiction and nonfiction ebooks available for three-week checkout. Three feature fiction bestsellers, two offer nonfiction bestsellers, and one includes titles available only in eBook format, such as James Patterson’s Bookshot series.
Please call the Fiction Desk at (847) 923-3140, for a list of titles available. Place a hold on the one that features your top reading choices. Basic instructions for using the Kindle are included.
