Join the Volunteer Squad!

  • The Volunteer Squad program is open to students entering grades 8 through 12 in the fall of 2025. Volunteer opportunities are available between June 1 and August 1.
  • The application is open from Friday, March 21 at 9 a.m. through Friday, April 4 at 9 a.m. Limited spots are available.
  • New applicants must attend a Volunteer Orientation session. This is a chance to learn more about the Volunteer Squad program and the duties and expectations we have for our volunteers. Once you apply, specific dates, times and sign-up instructions are emailed to you at the beginning of April.
  • Both new and returning applicants must attend a Volunteer Squad Training Session. At these sessions you hear more about the Summer Challenge 2025 program, pick-up your Volunteer Squad t-shirt, and learn skills for your first day of volunteering at the Library. Specific dates, times and sign-up instructions are sent to you at the beginning of May.
  • Please note that the applicant's email, not the email listed for the emergency contact, are used for all communication, including sign-up links and reminders.
