Have you ever named your car, house, or a favorite tool? Do you remember WALL•E, the movie about a robot responsible for cleaning up waste on the Earth? Our Materials Sorter machine is having an identity crisis and needs a name! This December, we’re giving our patrons the chance to name this book-sorting “automaton” at the Central Library.
For months, staff have noticed the smiles and happiness on patrons' faces as they drop off their returns and watch them being sent to the correct bin for sorting. We’d like to give our machine a name that accurately reflects this fun and techy library tool.
We need your suggestions. Then, our staff will select their favorites from the submissions, and you will vote on them.
• Submit Your Name Ideas: Dec. 1 through 10
• Then VOTE for your favorite: Dec. 11 through 22
• The WINNER is announced in January!
