  • August 5: First day to apply for vote by mail ballot

  • September 24: First day to apply for vote by mail ballot

  • October 18: Deadline to Register to Vote Online.

  • October 29: Last day for election authority to receive vote by mail application.

  • November 3: Illinois General Primary Election

The League of Women Voters of the Barrington, Palatine, and Schaumburg areas host candidate forums in advance of the upcoming midterm elections. Candidates and exact forum races will be announced upon confirmation from the candidates.

Civic Empowerment Series 2026

This year, Schaumburg Library is partnering with multiple Illinois libraries on a yearlong initiative to help communities deepen their understanding of civic issues, understand the political landscape, and explore opportunities for meaningful civic discourse.
