Summer Dance Concert
Friday, June 2 • 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Instructors from Arthur Murray will teach the basics of Swing. Then, practice your new dance skills to live music from The Sting Rays. Sponsored by the Schaumburg Park District.

Rhythm Rockets
Monday, June 5 • 6:45 – 8:15 p.m.
Vintage jazz and rhythm & blues, with songs influenced by the sax-driven bands of the late 1940s and early 1950s. Rain date: June 6.

Jim Gill
Thursday, June 8 • 7 – 7:45 p.m.
Jim Gill, an award-winning musician and author, offers more than a show to watch. Each concert is an opportunity for family play! In concert, Jim strums energetic rhythms on his banjo while everyone claps, sings, dances and even sneezes along to the silly and inspiring musical games that he creates. Rain location: Central Library.

Heartsfield
Monday, June 12 • 6:45 – 8:15 p.m.
With Billboard-charted singles and albums, complex guitar riffs and four-part harmonies, Heartsfield has been a pioneer in the Southern Rock genre. Rain date: June 13.

What Happened After Once Upon A Time
Wednesday, June 14 • 7 – 7:30 p.m.
These fractured fairy tales, performed by Street Theatre, are fun for the whole family. Sponsored by the Schaumburg Park District.

Sunset Yoga
Thursday, June 15 • 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Take a moment to relax and enjoy a warm summer evening with outdoor yoga for the whole family.  Please bring your own yoga mat or towel. Rain location: Central Library.

Cowboy Jukebox
Monday, June 19 • 6:45 – 8:15 p.m.
From Florida Georgia Line and Miranda Lambert to Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton, Cowboy Jukebox shoots country music straight and true. Rain date: June 20.

Cirque Amongus

How the West Was Worn

Fun Fair
Thursday, June 29 • 5 – 7 p.m.
All ages can enjoy a fun night of games, contests, and sidewalk chalk. Play life-sized board games and enter contests such as bottle flipping, hula hoop, and more. Outdoor games will be weather dependent. Rain Location: Central Library.

Kaleidoscope Eyes
Monday, July 3 • 6:45 – 8:15 p.m.
Acoustic Beatles tribute band that captures the magic of the songwriting and harmonies of the Fab Four. Rain date: July 5.

The Commedia Prince and the Pauper

Enjoy this bright, new telling of a classic tale, performed by the Street Theatre. Sponsored by the Schaumburg Park District.

Justin Roberts
Thursday, July 20 • 7 – 7:45 p.m.
Two-time Grammy-nominated Justin Roberts is truly one of the all-stars of the indie family music scene. For nearly 20 years, Roberts has been creating the soundtrack to families' lives, helping kids navigate the joys and sorrows of growing up and parents remember their own childhoods. Skip Towne and the Greyhounds
Monday, July 24 • 6:45 – 8:15 p.m.
Skip Towne and the Greyhounds perform classic blues, jazz, swing, ballads, and downright good- time rockin’ blues. Rain date: July 25.

The Make 'Em Ups
Wednesday, July 26 • 7 – 7:45 p.m.
Part improv workshop, part writing tool, and all around super fun. Learn the rules of improv and how to create characters, settings and stories. Rain location: Central Library.

The Del Bergeson Orchestra
Monday, July 31 • 6:45 – 8:15 p.m.
The Del Bergeson Orchestra is a 13-piece big band playing music from Glenn Miller to the Electric Slide. Rain date: August 1.

Family Building Night
Wednesday, August 2 • 5 – 7 p.m.
Come together as a family to build using various types of materials. Rain location: Central Library.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where exactly is Town Square?
Town Square is located at the corner of Roselle and Schaumburg Roads. All events are held in the Town Square outdoor amphitheater, near the Central Library.

Can I bring food and drinks to the events?
Yes! Feel free to bring your own food and drinks to enjoy, or stop by one of the restaurants in Town Square to grab a snack during the show.

Can I bring my pet to the event?
Sorry, pets are not allowed in Town Square.

Are these events for all ages?
Yes! Unless otherwise noted, all events are for all ages - bring the whole family!

What happens if it's raining?
Decisions to delay, cancel or relocate an event due to inclement weather are not made until 4 p.m. on the day of the event. Sign up to receive email updates when an event is cancelled or moved to its rain location. You can also call us at (847) 985-4000 after 4 p.m. on the day of the event for details.
